Even though xfire now has official PSO support, It does not have in-game chat and is also set to detect the official version of PSO. So this updated mod adds support for in-game and schthack's server. Also even if schthack's server used the same exe as the sega servers did, the entry in the xfire_games.ini has some extra crap flags that prevent it form properly detecting. So if you want xfire to work with pso you will still need to mod the ini file.

First go to your xfire folder
Open the file titled xfire_games.ini in notepad
Press Ctrl+F and search for [5330]
replace the entire PSO entry with the following...

Quote
[5330]
LongName=Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst
ShortName=psobb
LauncherDirDefault=C:\Program files\SEGA\PHANTASY STAR ONLINE Blue Burst
LauncherExe=online.exe
DetectExe=SHPsoBB.exe
Launch=%UA_LAUNCHER_EXE_PATH% %UA_LAUNCHER_EXTRA_ARGS% %UA_LAUNCHER_NETWORK_ARGS%
DetectServer=FALSE
InGameRenderer=D3D8
InGameFlags=ENABLE_MOUSE

Save and have xfire redetect games

OPTIONAL: For those who desire the ICON of PSO BB to show up in Xfire when you or someone else is playing it, please download this rar and extract the folder into your Xfire ROOT folder, which in default terms, on Windows XP, would be C:/Program Files/Xfire

By downloading this rar, you will see a folder called Icons, in it contains the icon for PSO BB.

This is how it should look.

If you already HAVE the Icons folder in your Xfire Directory, then in the rar, extact ONLY the PSO BB icon into the Icons folder in your Xfire directory.

After this is done, Re-detect your games and the icon should appear, if not, restart Xfire by exiting out and starting it back up.

For anny issues, please PM GHNeko
